I strongly believe that giving back to the planet and the community should be part of every business plan. Along with steps I take to run a green business, here are some of the latest projects and efforts I'm involved in:

Child's Play 2009

Valued at $550 the Sterling Silver Ringed Chain Maille Collar was up for auction at the Child's Play annual charity dinner, to help raise money to buy toys and games for hospitalized children.

Wild Care 2008/2009

A portion of every sale made through elena-adams.com in 2008 and 2009 goes to Wild Care Bay Area. Based in Marin, this wonderful organization is committed to wildlife rehabilitation and helps educate the public on how to live peacefully with our furry neighbors. Direct donations can be made at wildcarebayarea.org.

NARSAD Collaborative Art Project 2009

Based on the concept of painting with beads, I asked artists of all varieties to submit their work to be inspiration for a necklace. The design process was recorded on the blog and once complete, the necklace was auctioned with all proceeds going to NARSAD, the National Alliance for Research on Scizophrenia and Depression.
