I love moonstone. Silky white and gray, with occasional peach pieces are just wonderful. Moonstone is an element of the moon, as is silver, so they make the perfect pairing. It's incredibly popular in pagan jewelry and this simple color suits anyone.

Moonstone is a gem-quality feldspar (same family as labradorite), most commonly found in white to pale gray colors, with a luminescent sheen reminiscent of the moon's light. While less known, moonstone also comes in strong peach tones, with a similar sheen.

Rainbow Moonstone, which is a clear to pale white gem with blue and rainbow-like reflections is not actually the same mineral as regular moonstone. Both forms measure a 6 on Moh's scale and can be quite easily scratched if care is not taken. Moonstone is a stone for new beginnings.

Strongly connected to the moon, it reminds us of the cycles of change. It is very calming on emotions and is frequently used to enhance psychic abilities and promote lucid dreaming.
