Aquamarine jewelry is always in style. Baby blues are a feminine touch for any fashionista, and it's the birthstone for March.

A variety of beryl, aquamarine is typically transparent with a delicate blue or green tint. Often heat treated to enhance their color, aquamarine is mined in Russia, Brazil and Sri Lanka. There are also smaller locations within the USA and other parts of South America and Africa.

As well as being the birthstone for March, aquamarine is the traditional gemstone gift for a 19th wedding anniversary. It was used in the Middle Ages against poison and is said to guide a safe return from a sea voyage. It is an excellent aid in meditation, bringing peace and advancing wisdom.
