Mother's Day is really close and I, of course, am completely unprepared. I have to do a little scrambling today to get a gift together in time. If you're shipping internationally like I am, don't wait another minute!

Here are some tips when buying for mom:

• Older women prefer shorter earrings, so choose styles that are 2" or shorter. All the earrings include measurements, which are taken from the top of the ear hook.
• Bracelets are always a great pick - she can wear them alone, or stack them with other styles.
• Know your mother's style and don't try to push her too far outside her fashion boundaries. Careful selection means you'll give her something she can wear all the time.
• Know your mother's personality. Mine worries when I give her something that looks too expensive, and tends not top wear it outside special occasions. If your mom's frugal, get her something understated that she's comfortable in. If your mom like to glam up, go wild!
