With the holidays over the reality of the new year is crashing in with full force. 2009! Can you believe it? My new year was very quiet indeed. I slept through the whole thing! Did you do anything extra special this year? I'd love to hear. I'm feeling good about it though, and I'm excited to finally get some time to work on projects that were put on the back burner for the silly season.

Double helix chain is the very first thing I learned in jewelry, and
what led me to fall in love with chain maille. Here it's paired with a wire-wrapped strand of labradorite, and to give it a splash of color, drops of rosy-pink sapphire. I think this is my new favorite, and only $160.
